The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of North Central Railway (NCR) has officially released the recruitment notification for 2024. This recruitment drive is for 1679 vacancies across various trades under the Act Apprentice program.
The RRC NCR Recruitment 2024 aims to fill 1679 slots in designated trades under the Apprentice Act, 1961, across the divisions of Prayagraj, Agra, Jhansi, and the Jhansi Workshop. Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of one year.

RRC NCR Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 15 years as of 15.10.2024.
- Maximum Age: 24 years as of 15.10.2024.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: Additional 10 years (service rendered in Defense Forces plus 3 years)
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must have passed SSC/Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent under the 10+2 examination system with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
- Must hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized by the Government of India.
Medical Fitness
Candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate from a government-authorized doctor, not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.

How to Apply for RRC NCR Vacancies 2024?
Applicants can submit their applications online through the official RRC-NCR website: www.rrcpryj.org. Follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the official website: Go to RRC-NCR website.
- Registration: Create an account with a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Fill out the application form: Complete the form with personal and educational details. Ensure you enter your marks accurately.
- Upload documents: Upload self-attested copies of your SSC/Matriculation certificate, ITI certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), and recent passport-size photo.
- Pay the application fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 100 online. No fee for SC/ST/PwD and female candidates.

RRC NCR Selection Process
The selection process is based on a merit list, which will be prepared by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained in both the Matriculation (with at least 50% marks) and ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both.
In case of a tie:
- Candidates with older age will be preferred.
- If the age is also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered.
There will be no written exam or interview for this recruitment. The final merit list will be prepared trade-wise and community-wise.
